Today I want to share with you a very effective method to
heal your body with your mind.
When we have a health problem, we usually believe that we
have to do some kind of therapy or action like go to the doctor, take some
medication or go to a therapist, etc.
We believe that we have to do something to heal. But this is not exactly like that.
It is true that therapies, medicines and actions in general
can help us, but they are not the most important elements.
The most important element to heal our body are our thoughts.
The key to our health and our life in general, is our mind. And
in this article we will talk about how to use your mind to heal your body
completely.
Exercise to Heal Your Body with Your Mind
The exercise that I propose to heal the body with the mind is
very simple. You just have to do the following:
First, look for a quiet space where you can be for 5 to 15
minutes without any interruption. You can also do it regardless of the place
and the moment, but at the beginning it's good to practice in a quiet
environment.
Once you have it, devote those 5-15 minutes to imagine that
your body is healthy and comfortable.
Soon we will talk a little more about this part, because you
have to do it well for the exercise to be effective, but the essence is simply
this: take a moment to imagine that your body is healthy and well.
You can take it as a game if you want; like when you imagine
that you are playing a game and think about everything you could do. Let your
thoughts fly and for a while imagine that you're fine.
And do it on a regular basis at least 3-4 times per week. In
order to get good results, it must be done continuously.
If you do it on a regular basis, it will completely change
your physical state.
The Importance of the Mind in Healing the Body
It is possible that, from the outset, this exercise seems
like a small thing. Maybe you can think that it will not help or it can be a
small help and nothing more.
But it is not like that at all. If you do it right, there's
nothing better you can do for your body.
One of the great limitations of current humanity is that we
are not fully aware of the power of the mind. We believe that thoughts have no
effect on reality, and that the only way to achieve things is to take action.
But this is not completely true. It is true that actions can
help us achieve our goals, but they cannot do it on their own. The actions have
no power by themselves.
The actions are only effective if they are accompanied by
thoughts.
Through our actions, we can empower our thoughts and make
them manifest more strongly, but we can never create anything with actions if
we have not thought about it before.
Shakespeare said it long ago: "Words without thoughts never to heaven go."
This is the reason why we often work very hard and do not get
what we want. You cannot get anything only with hard work.
So we all have to really think about it.
The Key to Power Healing the Body with the Mind
The main idea of this exercise is very simple. You just
have to dedicate 5-15 minutes to imagine that your body is fine, and do it on a
regular basis. This is a way to make our thoughts gradually align with health.
But to really work, you have to keep an important factor in mind;
the thoughts you choose must be credible to you. You have to imagine yourself
well, and do it in a way that you really enjoy it and believe in it.
If you try to imagine yourself well, but there is a part of
your mind that thinks otherwise, it will not work.
This is the difficult part of the exercise. How can we
imagine that we are well, and believe it, when we are not feeling good? If we
are feeling pain, or if we have a disease, how can we imagine that our body is well
and really trusts it?
In general it costs us a lot. We have a hard time maintaining
mental positivity when things are not as we would like.
But there is a relatively simple way to get it.
Imagine that you have a seed, and that you decide to plant
it. You put it in a pot with soil, and you start watering it regularly.
In this case do you have any certainty that the plant will
grow one day? And in the event that it grows, do you know for sure that it will
grow a lot and quickly?
The answer is NO. You do not know for sure if the plant will
grow or not. And in the event that it grows, you do not know how long it will
take or whether it will grow long or small.
But there is one thing you do know. You know that plants need
water, and that if you water them time to time you help them grow. And you also
know that if you never water them, they will not grow.
So, every time you water it, you have absolute certainty that
you are contributing to the growth of the plant. You do not have any certainty
regarding the final result, but you still do not doubt at any moment the value
of each drop of water you give.
Well, this same attitude is what you have to adopt to do this
exercise.
Take a few minutes to imagine that your body is fine and do
it with the absolute conviction that what you are doing is beneficial for your
body.
Tell yourself that I have no idea if I will heal or not or
how long it will take me to do it, but I do know that what I have just done has
been beneficial for my body. Every time I have a positive thought about my
health, I'm taking a step forward. And if I go one step after another, each
time I will be better.
Human life is uncertain. What will happen in your future is
uncertain.
But there is one thing that is totally safe. Love has Power.
And if you water your life with love, you will be
contributing to its flourishing.
